For Master's Students

It is not the degree that will get you the job, but the skills you learn and master while studying for it. I cannot overemphasize how important it is to keep this in mind. – Respondent to CEU’s 25th Anniversary Alumni Survey

We are here to ensure that you connect what you learn at CEU to real-world impact in the professional sphere of your choice.

CEU master's students benefit from tailored career education opportunities, individual advising, and access to relevant vacancies, resources, and events.

HOW DO WE PARTNER WITH MASTER'S STUDENTS?

Program Liaisons
CEU Careers Program Liaisons serve as points of contact between CEU Master’s students and CEU Careers. Your Program Liaison will orient you to CEU Careers, make sure you know about careers events and initiatives, and provide tailored individual careers advising. Be sure you open emails from your Program Liaison—we want you to know what’s going on!

Career Advising Sessions
Career advising sessions are an opportunity to ask questions, explore ideas, and talk things through with a member of the CEU Careers team. Topics for careers advising sessions include:

  • Identifying your strengths and interest areas;
  • Exploring possible career paths;
  • Pursuing opportunities to obtain professionally-relevant knowledge and skills through practice-based learning opportunities such as internships and consultancies;
  • Creating, expanding, and managing your own network of personal careers advisors;
  • Crafting tailored application materials;
  • Preparing for interviews;
  • Conducting salary negotiations;
  • Making careers-related decisions.

Career Development Opportunities Across CEU
Across CEU you will find opportunities to develop career-relevant skills and knowledge. Members of the CEU community make a tangible benefit for individuals outside the walls of our campus via the university's numerous Civic Engagement initiatives, while also acquiring professionally-relevant skills and knowledge.
