The Career Services Office is here to help enrolled students and alumni with their career development, with a focus on professional futures. We look forward to working with you after you enroll! In the meantime, here is some information to get you started.
We always advise any students coming to CEU that the sooner you start thinking about future career options, the better, and we will connect with you very early on during your time here to explain in more detail how you can engage with us.
In the meantime, we recommend you check out our website, which features an array of information to help you with career planning, including resources on our Career Knowledge Hub.
If you want to know where our graduates end up, you can access career outcomes reports and alumni employment reports on the facts and figures section of our website. LinkedIn is also a great tool to look at the career paths of CEU alumni. If you are a non-EU national it may be especially useful to look at the paths of graduates from outside the EU if one of your ideas for your post-CEU future involves finding employment in the EU (a particularly challenging job search).
Working while studying
If you are thinking about working during your studies, this webpage tells you what you need to know. In short, there is no guarantee of being able to find paid work while studying. Some of the challenges include the demanding CEU schedule, the type of work available, additional bureaucratic steps required if you are from outside the EU, and whether you speak German. Indeed, we strongly advise students not to enroll at CEU unless they are certain they can support themselves even if they do not secure paid work.
Once you are at CEU...
...keep an eye out for our Welcome to Career Development events at the start of the autumn term. And remember to read your emails and engage with us on social media in order to learn about events throughout the year and the resources available to CEU students.
Looking forward to seeing you on campus!
