Job Title: Front Desk Assistant (f/m/d)

Central European University invites applications for Front Desk Assistant position. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for arrivals at the official entrance of the campus at Nador 15, acting at all times in a welcoming and professional manner in keeping with the mission of the University.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist and receive visitors and provide an efficient service to them in person or by phone
- Have a sound knowledge of the university and its activities, of campus geography and information about events
- Use knowledge and judgment to refer arrivals to other staff as appropriate or to assist as far as practical when the relevant staff are not available
- Answer visitors' enquiries about the university - directing visitors to their destinations
- Issue and validate temporary ID Cards if/when needed
- Assist organizers of events with the registration for events as needed
- Occasionally helps out in the Gallery or in the cloakroom
What We're Looking For
- Minimum requirement: University diploma or higher education certificate
- Must speak English and Hungarian at native level
- Computer knowledge is essential (Word, Excel), be able to adapt quickly to new software
- Attentiveness, a positive attitude and dependability, initiative, respect for confidentiality and discretion
- Receptionist is expected to maintain a calm, courteous and professional demeanor at all times, regardless of any party's behavior
- Willing to work flexible hours, often in the afternoons and sometimes weekends
