Central European University (CEU) is seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our Marketing Communications Office. This is a 35-hour-per-week position, ideally starting on September 1.
The primary role of the Marketing and Brand Officer is to plan, develop, and co-create marketing materials and activities that promote Central European University. The Marketing and Brand Officer ensures alignment of the university’s narratives and brand consistency across all external facing touchpoints in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Overseeing a team of graphic designers, the Marketing and Brand Officer implements branding practices that encourage visual consistency and enable departments, units, and offices to create content in line with university brand guidelines. CEU’s Marketing Communications Office is responsible for building and maintaining the university’s reputation as a highly ranked, uniquely international, research-intensive institution dedicated to the principles of an open society. The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and collaborate closely with other content creators and owners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure messaging and branding accurately represent CEU in engaging content for majority of CEU’s major campaigns and most platforms
- Organize and manage marketing and design projects
- Lead and develop graphic designers
- Collaborate with administrative and academic units to plan promotional content for key audiences such as prospective students, partner universities, donors and friends of the university
- Provide input into the conceptualization and development of video projects and photoshoots
- Manage merchandise and branded materials, including the management of CEU’s merchandise shop
- Cultivate event and fair branding, organization and design
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ experience in managing marketing campaigns and working directly with creatives
- Strong project management experience in culturally diverse organizations
- Advanced English-language writing and editing skills (C1 level or higher)
- Experience organizing outreach events
- Excellent visual communication and presentation skills
- Experience in coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

We offer a competitive salary starting from gross 55,000 EUR/year. A higher salary is possible if warranted by the candidate's working experience.
